2011 Prime Minister’s Prize for Initiatives and Innovations was awarded to Inas Said and Jimmy Levy

Galil AwardsPrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this year, for the second time, awarded the “Prime Minister’s Prize for Initiatives and Innovations” in order to encourage initiatives, innovational thinking, imagination, and creativity among various population groups. The winners were chosen by a seven-member committee chaired by Prof. Eugene Kandel. The Prime Minister’s Prize for Initiative and Innovation for Financial Profit was awarded to Inas Said, CEO, and Jimmy Levy, Founder of Galil Software, for their efforts in founding Nazareth-based Galil Software, a pioneer Arab sector high-tech company.  The prize was awarded for changing the employment map for engineers and tech professionals in the Arab sector, and for thus providing an example for young Arabs who aspire to careers in engineering and high-tech and becoming entrepreneurs themselves.

Inas Said is the recipient of an Honorary Fellowship of the Open University

Galil AwardsMr. Inas Said, CEO of Galil Software, is the recipient of an Honorary Fellowship of the Open University, in recognition of his accomplishments in developing the area of technological employment in Israel to broader populations.

“The Honorary Fellowship was awarded to Mr. Inas Said as a token of appreciation for his inspiring career in the high-tech area, and his outstanding accomplishments in the field. On his being the first Israeli Arab CEO in the high-tech area, and dedicating most of his energy and time to promote and create positions in the Arab sector, specifically in his company that employs 150 professionals from the Arab sector.” The Open University Council and Prof. Hagit Messer-Yaron, the Open University President.

Israel Management Center 2010 High-Tech CEO of the Year was awarded to Inas Said and Jimmy Levy

Galil AwardsInas Said, CEO, and Jimmy Levy, Founder of Galil Software are the co-recipients of the Israel Management Center 2010 “High-Tech CEO of the Year” Award in the category of “Business Breakthrough”. “Inas Said and Jimmy Levy established Galil Software in order to provide in Israel a solution for software development at offshore prices, as well as to provide an employment solution for the Arab sector in the Galilee. Today, Galil Software is the largest high-tech company operating in the Arab sector in Israel.
