Testing trends for 2016!
With 2016 now well and truly here, it’s time to take a look at what we think will be running the show in regards to testing – and QA Automation especially – in 2016.
We at Galil are at the forefront of much of those trends, with many of our Israeli customers taking advantage of our skilled testing teams and processes in order to stay relevant in their particular industry. To sum up the current trends, we’ve grabbed a few recent articles below that highlight the thoughts and opinions of some of the leading industry players.
Just so you know, we’re with the recently published World Quality Report, which indicates, among other things, that continuous and automated security testing will be a key strategy for many, while Agile and DevOps will take a front seat in testing.
- DevOps looks set to be huge, at least according to this article from Gartner. Predictions that DevOps will evolve from a niche to a mainstream strategy employed by 25% of global 2000 organizations reinforce what we are also feeling in the industry – isn’t it time you heard what we can do for you and your DevOps strategy?
- Watch out for microservices, with many companies that have invested in DevOps moving to a more “microservices” way of creating software. This article from Techbeacon gives a great account of what to expect from the somewhat ambiguous and uncertain world of automated testing in a DevOps world…
- Don’t miss this great read from Sauce Labs, which delves into what QA can expect in 2016, from an increase in application complexity to a reduction in QA team numbers, to a look at the clear benefits automation will provide. Well worth a read.
- Lastly, we are firm believers that the mobile app testing industry will be huge in 2016, and this article from Tecordeon sums up 7 of the major trends expected in the mobile testing world this year.
